Recipe For Success

Let me rephrase that…

Are you taking it seriously?

“It” = your business, your personal life, your health…whatever goals you have…

Think about it…and while you do, here’s a quick story and exercise to know if you’re actually ready and committed enough to reach your goals.

Quick foundations for this exercise…

Two quotes that sit with me every day (and when I have to make every hard decision) are…

  1. “Great leaders find comfort in uncomfortable situations”
  2. “Fear is a common signal that you’re going in the right direction”

These quotes actually came from two different people but anytime I make a decision I always ask myself, “what would a leader do?” and “how afraid am I?”…

The answers to those questions always guide me to the right answer and recently I realized a key piece to the puzzle.

I consult with new prospective clients all week and I’ve discovered how to tell if someone is for real or “just talk”.

It’s the same thing that tells me if they are just “playing business” or actually committed to hitting their goals and changing their life or business.

It’s the same thing that helped me to understand if I should invest over $60k to accelerate my own growth through training and mentorship…

I put together a quick sketch to help with this lesson..

So let’s break this down.

In order to be committed enough to reach your success, you need a healthy mix of being scared out of your mind and being super excited for the journey.

Or as I like to say…Equal parts “Oh Fu*k” and “Fu*k Yeah”.

Cuz here’s the thing.

If you’re only scared out of your mind, you’re not ready yet.

And, if you’re only super excited, you’re probably not taking it seriously enough.

But when you have that healthy mix…

Man, oh man, something changes inside of you.

I see it in myself and the clients that choose to work with us to transform their business to create more leverage, predictability, and freedom in their own lives.

This has become a warning sign for me to know if I’m about to make any sort of big financial or time commitment.

If I have that mix, we’re a go!

Additionally, when I talk to prospects, I can quickly tell where they fall in this diagram…

Those with the right mix are the ones that are relentless.

They surprise themselves with how fast they can create results.

So, here’s my question for you…

If you’re on the fence in working with us…ask yourself, where are you in this diagram?

If you’re scared of the investment, scared of failure, scared of whatever…yet, you know you have what it takes if you just had help…
